Project Duration:

2 Weeks

The Problem

The Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) approached us to design a new celebratory logo for their 25th anniversary. As they did not have a logo currently for their office, they also wanted to create a memorable and unique identity that could also be used even after the celebration. The logo needed to represent the diversity of the student body they serve. The timeline was expedited from a typical month timeline to be completed in only two weeks in order to complete the project in time for planned celebrations

Toolkit & Skills Used

  • graphic design
  • identity design
  • project management

The Solution

We provided rough digital sketches of ideas for the logos and brainstormed directly with the client in order to expedite the process. We landed on the inspired idea of using the glass dome at the building entrance that is a landmark feature of the office as inspiration for the logo. It was further designed to be reminiscent not only of the octagonal dome but also of a multifaceted jewel that represents and reflects the student body. The typefaces and colors followed acceptable brand guidelines and we were able to finish the project with time to spare and on budget.

Here are the light versions of the logo.
